Peter Griffin

The Family Guy

“Somebody stop me!” - The Mask

Sometimes it takes a 4th-wall breaking family guy to spice up a rap battle. Will Deadpool dead pool all over Peter, or will the Griffin giggity Lois and make some more VS blogs?

Let's resolve this paradox in an Abnormally Normal Blog!

Before We Start…

Given both character's origins as participants in Fightmarker's “Deadpool vs Peter Griffin. rap battle.” we will stick to the original material, with any other posts, statements, or videos relating to it from Fightmarker being used as supplementary evidence.

Many people try to use fan media for both such as from “Marvel” or “Seth McFarlane” due to both of them being mentioned to have shows during the rap battle, but these are not officially-licensed by Fightmarker, merely being based off of the original, and so are the equivalent of using fan-fiction. We will only stick to the main media for both.

Background

Deadpool

“Fuck off.”

One day, Deadpool got into a rap battle with Peter Griffin.

Peter Griffin

“Holy crap, Lois!”

One day, Peter Griffin got into a rap battle with Deadpool.

Experience, Skill & Intelligence

Deadpool

Deadpool is certainly more competent than you’d expect. He claims he was “in the worst royale of all time” and is frequently requested as an opponent for various different characters. His loud mouth is good for more than just being annoying, as he could talk his way out of Peter blowing them all up, getting him to open a door instead. He’s also got pretty decent aim, shooting The Mask from a fair distance away with one hand.

Peter Griffin

For a fat guy with glasses, Peter is no slack when it comes to fighting. He’s apparently been trading blows with chickens for 22 seasons. His skill with a gun is even precise enough to shoot Meg and Spider-Man clear in the chest from a fair distance away with one hand, and he’s clever enough to fool Joe, who’s presumably a cop, into falling into his trap with no escape.

Equipment

Deadpool

Mask

Not to be confused with The Mask. While some may wonder what the point of the mask is, it’s shown to be to hide his ugly face.

Title Cards

Various cards of different characters that Deadpool is shown to have, indicating their name.

We see him have access to:

  • Deathstroke
  • The Mask
  • Ferris Bueller
  • Postal Dude
  • Harley Quinn
  • Bugs Bunny
  • Green Lantern
  • Drake
  • Tyler The Creator
  • Spongebob Squarepants
  • The Neighbor
  • Eric Cartman
  • John Kramer
  • Kendrick Lamar
  • William Afton
  • Herobrine
  • Scott Pilgrim
  • Impractical Jokers

His First Issue

A copy of Deadpool’s first issue, “The New Mutants #98.”

Phone

He can access a phone that plays “Surfers” on it.

Piano

While we hear no audio coming from it, Deadpool does effectively use this piano to describe Peter in a song.

Twin Katanas

For no discernible reason, Deadpool always seems to carry a pair of katanas on his back to threaten his foes with, but he has shown no skill with them.

Gun

A Deadpool clone is briefly shown holding a gun, and he later uses it to shoot The Mask.

Taxi

Deadpool has access to a taxi and driver, which he uses to run over Brian.

Time Machine

A watch attached to his wrist Deadpool can quickly use to seemingly travel through time, with no shown limitations.

Several Cars, Planes & Missiles

To kill Brian a second time, he dumped… all this on him at once.

Computer

An old computer screen he uses to watch his own verse (see Before the Verdict). It can presumably be used for surveillance.

Hideout

Some kind of hideout Deadpool seems to chill in. There are a number of different gadgets found inside:

  • Green fists
  • Giant metal shuriken
  • Joystick controller
  • Shield
  • AK-47
  • Cutout of Ryan Reynolds
  • Boxes
  • Hamburger
  • Wolverine action figure
  • Undefined sword
  • Seemingly medieval sword
  • Skull with mask on it
  • Jukebox
  • Sandals
  • RPG

Peter Griffin

Crack

He can do crack if he wants to.

Beers

According to Deadpool, Peter has multiple beers for him to drink.

Plush Chicken

For no reason, Peter is shown beating the fuck out of a plush chicken.

Domino’s Pizza

Hmm, pepperoni

Roku Controller

Controls the TV.

TV

A television box Peter keeps in his living room. From what we see, he can use it to watch his opponent’s movies and get information on them.

Glasses

Don’t be fooled by their ordinary appearance. While the details are unclear, they seem to reveal all aspects a person is made from, or more specifically, who someone is made from, clueing him in on his opponent.

AJAX

A special chemical that can not only erase 99% of germs, but according to Peter, can erase cancer and even 99% of someone’s face.

Gun

Peter is a surprisingly good shot, as shown when he used this gun to shoot Meg from a fair distance away, and when he later did the same to Spider-Man.

Suicide Vest

Having tricked everyone into his trap, he reveals a vest strapped with numerous explosives that he implies can kill everyone in the room.

His House

Peter’s personal home. Despite its simplicity, it’s shown to have multiple neat features.

Abilities

Deadpool

Ugly Physiology

Deadpool is shown to be incredibly ugly due to “tumorous cells” and burn marks. He’s apparently so ugly he’s stated his own mother won’t see him. He’s also said to be an “actual Griffin,” or a combination of various different people as one.

Duplication

Numerous times throughout the rap battle, we see multiple versions of Deadpool existing at once, implying duplication. While we don’t know how many he can make exactly, we do briefly see a convention’s worth of clones, giving us an approximate of up to 9 copies at once.

Non-Physical Interaction

He can interact with the text of his own title card, and even other character’s title cards.

Hammerspace

He can consistently pull out items out of thin air, such as title cards, his first comic book issue, a phone, a time travel wristwatch, and a whole-ass piano.

Teleportation

Throughout his rap battle, Deadpool teleports between various locations at will, such as when he teleported from Peter’s house to a sewer from Epic Rap Battles of History in a cloud of smoke. It’s shown to be precise enough to teleport into a moving taxi. He’s even traveled to a strange, empty void containing the title cards of various different characters.

Reality Warping

Due to initially confusing Peter with Jared from Subway, he not only changed his title card, but led to an entire Subway somehow manifesting and replacing Peter’s house. At various points in the rap, Deadpool begins fusing two different locations into one, like when he fused the Epic Rap Battles of History sewer with Peter’s house. At his best, he created an entire Party City with a visible blue sky.

Immersion/4th-Wall Breaking

Deadpool can show up outside of the panels displaying the video he was on. He is also stated to be able to break the 4th wall, and could stop other people’s verses dead in their tracks. He’s been shown bickering with Fightmarker himself, refusing to rap unless threatened to.

Resistances

Peter Griffin

Ugly Physiology

Peter is described as even more ugly than Deadpool, who’s so ugly even his mother won’t see him.

Teleportation

Throughout his rap battle, Peter teleports between various locations at will, such as when he teleports himself and his entire family out of the house and onto the road. He’s even traveled to a strange empty void containing the title cards of various different characters.

Duplication

Numerous times throughout the rap battle, we see multiple versions of Peter existing at once, implying duplication. While we don’t know how many he can make exactly, we do briefly see a pair of Peters act as back-up dancers for the main Peter, giving us an approximate of up to 2 copies at once.

Reality Warping

Despite Peter’s house being crushed seconds earlier, we are shown it being in perfect condition the moment we cut back, with the Subway having disappeared; it’s likely this was Peter’s doing. At various points in the rap, Peter begins fusing two different locations into one, like when he fused his house with Deadpool’s hideout.

Immersion/4th-Wall Breaking

At the start of the video, we see him exist and move inside of a community post made by Fightmarker.

Time Travel

By reminiscing on an earlier point of the rap, Peter traveled back in time to the start of his own verse. Similarly, by recalling the time he rap battled Herobrine, everyone, including other versions of Deadpool, was taken to this time.

Mind Manipulation

Deadpool claims Peter “fuck(s) with children’s heads,” by shortening their attention spans, though this is only something he can achieve when next to Surfers.

Resistances

Weaknesses

Deadpool

Deadpool can become quickly fed-up with being constantly forced to rap battle, or having his verse interrupted, and additionally, while he does try to go against Fightmarker, he does seem to fear him, so he’s not gonna be leaving the rap battle anytime soon.

Peter Griffin

Peter Griffin is emotionally vulnerable to particularly strong disses, which can leave him crying and in need of his friends for help. If his friends are killed, he can also become overwhelmed with rage, as he consistently acts very emotionally.

Before the Verdict

Joe Swanson’s Regeneration

After being blown up into paste, Joe was able to come back to life, and in fact, gain the ability to walk. This would imply some absurd regeneration, far above what any other character here has shown. However, there’s an issue.

Not only do we never see how he does it, but he immediately becomes an enemy to Peter in this state, aiming to arrest him. While we are given very little context as to how this happened, given Peter and Deadpool were both shocked, it’s unlikely this was either of their doing, but instead, based on the text on-screen, this was more likely done by an outside force unrelated to either. This means this ability isn’t something natural Peter’s Joe can replicate on his own, and since he’s no longer an ally after this, it’s not something Peter should be given access to.

Brian Griffin’s Regeneration

Similar to Joe, Brian displays a similar, though less notable, feat of regeneration. Despite Deadpool running him over, after just a couple of minutes, he could return good as new.

While one could argue this is a side-effect of Deadpool’s time travel after he runs over Brian, we see this happen again when Brian is run over a second time, with Deadpool never time traveling again by this point, indicating it’s a natural ability of his.

The Planet Fucking Explodes

At the end of the video, the mere mention of watching Family Guy causes the planet to explode. We are given 0 context on anything after this, and even if anyone survived it, so while this is theoretically something Brian can always do, it would just result in a tie at best.

R>F Deadpool?

In a short moment during his first verse, we see Deadpool watching his own rap battle verse on a PC. Unfortunately, there’s just way too little context to this short scene to argue Deadpool fully transcends his own world. Realistically, he’s either watching the video itself, or it’s just a property of his immersion, not really applicable to stats.

Verdict

STATS

Stats is likely one of the more straight-forward comparisons here. Both are notably strong in their base forms, both being able to outrun a plane, and Peter notably slamming a door at super high-speeds, putting him at 11.49 m/s, although realistically, both should be fairly comparable due to briefly running from the aforementioned plane. Deadpool is also able to kick Peter in the balls, and Peter can survive it, so neither has too much of an edge here in terms of physical strength. However, remember Deadpool’s support. Notably, Magneto could smash Cleveland hard enough to shatter him and a bathtub, requiring energies of up to 1.35 MegaJoules, cleanly demolishing Peter.

Things change quickly when their forms are brought in, with Buff Peter Griffin surviving the Peter-Copter’s explosion, putting him at a solid 0.023 Tons of TNT, stomping any of Deadpool’s ends… until you bring in Satan. As the lord of Hell, he could throw a plane at Mach 4.57, releasing energy anywhere from 52.49 Tons of TNT to 1.29 Kilotons of TNT. Even when Peter’s God form is taken into account, Deadpool VASTLY outclasses him in sheer stats.

ARSENAL & ABILITIES

Both come equipped with ‘ol reliable guns, capable of one-shotting others, and while Deadpool does have access to katanas and a massive arsenal within his hideout, he’s never shown to use them, or know how to use them, so it’s more of a technical advantage rather than anything practical.

Most of Peter’s stuff isn’t particularly useful. Ignoring the useless stuff like crack (sorry crack bros…), his beer, the plush chicken, etc, only some of his items have any sort of practical benefit. His glasses and TV would be able to let him see what characters Deadpool is made of, and theoretically give him in-sight of his abilities, his suicide vest would likely kill Deadpool… but it would take himself out too, his house offers great protection with its doors, and his AJAX could erase 99% of Deadpool’s face, likely dealing heavy-damage.

However, Deadpool simply has WAY more going for him. His own computer could achieve a similar effect to Peter’s TV, as it’s been shown to allow him to watch the current rap battle, likely giving him some in-sight on Peter, although admittedly not to the same extent. More importantly, his taxi, cars, planes, helicopters, and other stuff he could dump on Peter would give him MUCH better offensive options, as he would be perfectly protected while inside his taxi, while Peter would suffer extreme damage from it, and the bunch of random shit he can suddenly drop on Peter offers fairly solid AOE Peter would be unable to dodge. Peter’s best tool would be his AJAX, but not only is that blocked by the aforementioned taxi, but according to Peter himself, Deadpool has survived this before, meaning it’s far from a reliable kill option.

Of course, this debate isn’t just about their kits, as their abilities match each other in many ways. Both can clone up to 9 times, teleport, warp reality to remove the other’s home field advantage, time travel at will (though Deadpool does need his time travel watch), and both can break the 4th-wall and escape their current medium. Both are also unbelievably ugly, capable of making others unable to see them; however, both also seem immune to this, so it cancels out. While Peter does seem to have some level of mind manipulation with his killing of attention spans, this requires the specific condition of him being next to Surfers to activate, something only Deadpool himself has the tools to activate, making it useless for Peter.

So, neither has a notable edge with either of their base abilities, but what about their strongest forms? That’s when things get much trickier.

As God and Satan, both can move things telekinetically, bring foes to Heaven or Hell respectively, and fuse Heaven and Hell.

God’s sealing is more or less useless here, given Satan can just teleport himself or God to Hell regardless, and while his lightning bolts seem deadly, we’ve only ever seen them heal others, which would just help Deadpool. However, their healing properties would help a lot in maintaining his allies, which we’ll elaborate on later. His natural flight also gives him a natural mobility edge, but Saran could always just create a portal to catch up. On the other hand, Satan can create tons of fire to flood the battlefield, and while God could get rid of it with his reality warping, it would still be quite troublesome for his mobility; more damningly, Satan can simply grow to the size of buildings and swat God out of the air, duplicate his own support for dozens upon dozens of times (elaborated on later), use precognition to predict God’s actions, and even scorch God’s soul, something he’s never shown any resistance to, giving Deadpool a significant edge when it comes to natural abilities.

But what about their support? Well, while Peter’s is nothing to scoff at, Deadpool still has him largely outmatched. He has 7 other versions of himself from across the multiverse to help him out, some of which are equipped with dangerous finger guns they could shoot Peter with, guns and blades capable of murdering a whole universe’s worth of people, or take him to other universes by force, various superhuman X-Men with claws or metal bodies, Cable who can use his precognition to see what Peter and his crew will do next, Magneto who possesses powerful telekinesis, and even this one bald dude in a wheelchair who can use his mind to cause people to fucking explode into goop. Some of his squad can even forcefully transmute others, giving him insanely straightforward wincons.

Most of Peter’s crew are fairly average humans, who while they possess decent abilities, cannot compete with Deadpool's squad. Quagmire, Cleveland, and Brian’s duplication is outdone by the pre-existing number difference, and the other Deadpools could always just bring in more versions of Deadpool from across the multiverse. Joe can immerse himself into a medium, but it wouldn’t actually help him win, Quagmire’s shotgun dick is… unique, but he’s never used it in combat, unlike Deadpool 100’s finger guns, which he’s not only actively used, but are shown to be extremely lethal, and while Brian’s regeneration does seem to present a slight challenge, he has no notable offensive skills or weaponry to actually capitalize off of it. Hell, we’ve seen him get his ass beat by Deadpool’s car multiple times, meaning at best he’d just be a small nuisance they could beat the shit out off and move on, not to mention that he’s never been shown to regenerate from being turned into a toilet or blown up into goop, meaning they can always put him down for good if they really wanted to. And when tackling how they can support their teams, while Peter can use his holy lightning to heal them, which would allow him to keep them in the game for longer, Deadpool can just duplicate his army, making dozens upon dozens of clones of his strongest members to not only worsen the numbers difference, but increase his odds of winning by virtue of having a greater number of characters capable of one-shotting Peter and his support with extremely deadly hax.

In general, Peter’s squad is just massively inferior to Deadpool’s, giving Deadpool a way easier time here.

TERTIARY FACTORS

To be brief, both have showcased skilled gunmanship, and while Peter is way more experienced, fighting chickens for “22 seasons,” this doesn’t really mean much in a sort of fight scenario like this one, where he’ll have to fight multiple humanoid opponents with various different powers at once. In that regard, neither has many notable skill or experience showings, but when it comes to their weaknesses, there is a notable point to be brought up. Peter can be easily emotionally overwhelmed, especially if he’s insulted too much. Considering the army of foul-mouth rappers at Deadpool’s disposal, Deadpool is gonna have a much easier time bringing Peter to tears than otherwise. Once Peter gets fully pissed off, Deadpool will naturally have an edge of actually being able to think things through much better, while on the other hand, Deadpool can be quite pissed off when repeatedly interrupted or put under strain, he’s consistently much more level-headed and not nearly as prone to violent outbursts, giving him the better mindset throughout this battle.

Conclusion

"Peter, you're a mess."

Advantages:

  • Clears the stat trinity as Satan.
  • Soul manipulation would one-shot Peter.
  • Portals and size manipulation can get around the mobility difference.
  • Much deadlier support capable of instantly taking the win.
  • Cloning his support would drastically boost his odds of winning.
  • Much more mentally stable.
  • Fire manipulation grants him better battlefield control.
  • Better offensive and defensive tools with his taxi and big pile of random vehicles to dump on people.
  • Precognition would give him in-sight on everything Peter would do.
  • Ran over Brian Griffin (based).

Ties:

  • Comparable stats in base.
  • Matching abilities in base.
  • Gunmanship skills.
  • Ugly-ass.

Disadvantages:

  • Would suffer heavy damage from AJAX.
  • Peter’s TV and glasses would let him know of some of his tricks.
  • Would struggle for a bit against Peter’s house.
  • Technically less experienced.
  • Never got to say his second verse.

"This reminds me of the time I was in a rap battle with Herobrine."

Advantages:

  • Could deal heavy damage with AJAX.
  • TV and glasses would grant him some in-sight on Deadpool.
  • Could seal Deadpool from Heaven for a time…
  • Could heal his support.
  • Technically superior experience…
  • Greater mobility with his flight.
  • Totally valid law manipulation ngl
  • Supports Palestine.

Ties:

  • Comparable stats in base.
  • Matching abilities in base.
  • Gunmanship skills.
  • Ugly-ass.

Disadvantages:

  • Gets stat-stomped by Satan.
  • Far inferior forces.
  • No real way to counter Deadpool duplicating his army.
  • Vulnerable to soul manipulation.
  • Mentally unstable.
  • …but not in a way that actually matters.
  • Would struggle to get past Deadpool’s taxi for a bit, and is vulnerable to having a bunch of vehicles dumped on him.
  • Very vulnerable to being instantly pasted or transmuted into a toilet.
  • Got cucked by like… everyone.

In the end… perhaps we were lucky there wasn’t a Family Guy.

The Winner is… THE MASK!?

FUCK!
